TipTop Avalanche Awareness Clinic 2/13/16

Satuday, February 13, members of Tip Top Search and Rescue hosted an avalanche awareness clinic for the public. Participants learned what hazards to look for, how to Self-Rescue/Buddy-Rescue, what gear is essential, and how to stay safe while enjoying our backcountry. TTSAR members Mike Jackson, Wes Allen, and Kenna Tanner took participants to the Upper Green parking lot when the classroom and video portion was complete for hands-on demonstrations and skills practice.
A big Thank You to KBYG (Know Before You GO) a national campaign supporting education efforts to inform the public and reduce the numbers of human-involved avalanche incidents. Thanks to Ben Ramsey for his local coverage and photos in the local paper, the Sublette Examiner.
